Zayed International Airport Launch

A falcon flew across the desert sky. Then it became a plane.

Abu Dhabi International Airport became Zayed International Airport: a new name for a new era in UAE aviation.

1,750 swarm drones formed a falcon over the desert, then reshaped into a three-dimensional A380. The aircraft “landed” on the airport’s North Runway, filmed by six piloted camera drones.

Getting the shot meant closing a live runway, with the show built around the airport’s own flight schedule. An orchestra scored the descent. Real air traffic control radio calls guided the aircraft in.

The film told Abu Dhabi’s new airport story through the desert and the runway, not a press release. It’s the kind of launch an airport doesn’t usually get.
